Dynamic DNS Client for Android - No-IP Groups

No-IP has a sub account feature that can be used to limit the access an update client has to your account.

Their site describes how to configure groups.

There are three ways of updating using groups:

1. Update one hostname using group credentials

This is the simplest and most common method.

For "Update domain" enter
dynupdate.no-ip.com/ducupdate.php?username=<groupname>:<username>&pass=<group password>

For example, if your groupname is "grpname", your username is "myuser" and your group password is "grppass"
dynupdate.no-ip.com/ducupdate.php?username=grp:myuser&pass=grppass

Enter your hostname as usual in the settings. Since the username/password is in this URL you don't need to enter it in the settings.

Note that your group password is not the same as your account password.

2. Update multiple hostnames using group credentials

For "Update domain" enter
dynupdate.no-ip.com/ducupdate.php?username=<groupname>:<username>&pass=<group password>&h[]=<hostnames separated by comma>

This will send an update for all hostnames, but the app will only check for a successful result for the one that you enter in settings.

3. Update all hostnames in a group using account credentials

For "Update domain" enter
dynupdate.no-ip.com/ducupdate.php?username=<username>&pass=<password>&g[]=<group name>

Enter the group name as hostname in settings and use your account username and password in the URL.
